When does the battery management start protecting the battery from overheating?

Been hot in GA here lately and have noticed the battery temp gauge creeping up some. It was 105 here yesterday and during an hour drive it appeared that the battery temperature never pulled down via the car scanner app. I have the max tow package so you would think if Ford is trying to keep the batteries at an optimal temperature that the system would try to get ahead of the curve. Last year on vacation to Fl it was 108-110 going down the road and I would only see the battery temperature drop when the truck was preconditioning for a charger within the last 10-20 miles or so before arriving.

It definitely works, and works well. In S Florida where I live, the cooling system is louder than many of my gas vehicles when going full tilt. It has several different levels of intensity. When full blast- nobody would guess it’s an ev.

This is plugged in, correct? From the other thread, it seems the Lightning behaves differently when plugged in versus on battery (and differently still if you set a departure time).

Really wish we'd have an option to condition while on battery power in super hot areas.

It may behave differently when plugged in, but the cooling system, beyond the shadow of a doubt, will go full tilt when needed when not plugged in.
