I had to pick up my church’s smoker from the dealer where it was being repaired, about a 2.25 hour drive. No issues on way down, plenty of range in my SR pro with one quick fast charge for good measure.
I couldn’t get smart hitch to give me a weight, but I think it’s about 2,500lbs. Averaged about 1.3mi/kw versus 2.3 unladen.
EV stalls are NOT made for trailers. But I made it work. Two charges to get me back to St. Louis safely, one was a free DCFC so I didn’t mind.
The navigator was pretty accurate on estimated range, but the routes were horribly inefficient and downright nonsensical. Plan your route with ABRP or PlugShare instead.
