F-150 Lightning Orders Open in December

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.

I called Ford from the Contact Us phone number (800-392-3673). I told the main operator I had a question about the Lightning, and they directed me to the Lightning Department.

I acted like I didn't know anything and point blank asked when I could order the truck. The representative said December, and the truck will be delivered in Spring/Summer 2022.

I pressed a little bit and said "so is this early December or late December", and she implied late December. She was very kind and helpful and genuinely pumped about the truck, as far as I could tell (or she was just good at her job).

So, I hope this helps anyone going as crazy as I am with the lack of information about ordering. Cheers.

They don't. Worst case scenario for fall 2021 is that it opens on December 20th. They're tempering expectations.

Sorry to be pedantic, but if you *ordered* today you’d be the first person to do so, and might well get your truck in the spring. However, if you *reserved* today, you’d be at the end of the line, that’s correct.

I talked to the same people mid October and was told the 26th and we all know how that turned out..... Just wait and see i guess

I called the same folks yesterday to transfer my order to another dealer and when she asked "is there anything else. I can help with" I asked "what else do you know?" her very quick (and confident) response was that order banks will open up in December.

I felt good about it knowing it was offered information vs requested information. Enough for me to stop refreshing the page hoping for the button to change
