Looking at a pretty good deal (below MSRP) on 2 new (demo) Lightnings. Both have under 1K miles. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Is there anything in the software that will give me any indication of the battery health....kind of like you can check the battery health of a used iPhone?

If the demo hasn't been titled (some states require it, some don't), and the MSRP is $80,000 or less, not including destination chargers, you can get the $7,500 tax credit.

Yes, with Carscanner and an OBD app you can read battery health. There is no reason to think it wouldn't be fine, and you have a 8 year, 100,000 mile warranty regardless.

Thanks. Kind of what I was thinking. Even with power tools I do not like buying used batteries, but with it being this new it should be ok I would hope. Even if they only DC fast charged.

Good point on the title. Asking now.

Everyone on the west coast thinks they can still score $10k over, finding some asking under is a great find! I'm still waiting on my dealer to sort out the sold status for mine so I can get the charge station, my reward points, and the extra demo warranty that a few others here have talked about. I paid over, but still saved a lot compared to ordering a new '23 model and I'm very happy with the truck so far.

What is the extra demo warranty? How many miles did your demo have?

Other than the six week wait for the included charger, I've had no issues with my demo.

If you are looking at a 2022 you'll get features that have been removed in 2023 for less money.

A few here said they got 42mo/42k miles bumper to bumper for it being a demo. Mine had just 600 miles on it but the warranty start date is back in June so I lost 8 months of warranty and connected services by the time I bought it. Bummed, but not a deal breaker.

Three years 42,000 instead of three years 36,000. Battery is right years from "entered service" date, which is when the dealer got it.

Go to FordPass>Service >Warranty. The extended warranty should be there.

I steered you wrong, I apologize. When I click on Ford Protect my 42k warranty shows up. I didn't pay for it but did buy a demo. For some reason I can't post a screenshot right now or I'd show you what I see.

No worries, I've been pestering my sales rep every couple of days. I wanted to have the answers in writing but they've been ignoring me so it looks like I'll need to call to get anywhere.

I bought a 22 XLT demo for MSRP 6,500 miles. Truck was fine other than scratches in the bed. A month later there was a battery module issue and one of the modules had to be replaced. I chalk that up to a lightning issue and not it being a demo.
