Looks like truck is showing up in a few weeks, any recommendations or experiences with financing? I have excellent credit, currently have a Mach-e financed with Fords Options program, might do the same with the lighting.

I was offered a 6.9% interest rate. Not going to happen! I asked where the 3.2% TV add offer was ... crickets. And have seen lower promo rates. So fight for a low interest rate.

Why do dealerships do this kind of crap? Sorry for the poor experience. Hope it gets resolved. However, there are a few dealerships that have Lightnings on lots or in-transit. Somewhere there is a dealer that will respect you and you will be happy, for sure.

EVs are not in very, very short supply right now. Rivian keeps sending me a few emails each week that I can buy a pre-built immediately. Production lines are ramping up. Please note: I am not saying to buy a Rivian, just times are changing.

Do the Ford Finance. I did the 3.9 for 60 months. If you want to have the higher monthly payment the 2.9 for 48 is great.

I couldn't time Ford's promo rates with my delivery -- they had 0% for 36 months and a few other things going at the time, but the Lightning wasn't eligible for any of the specials.. Best Ford Credit could offer at the time was 6.25% and I was getting about the same most other places. I did Parsons FCU and the process was hell... Never have I jumped through so many hoops to get an auto loan, but I managed 3.95% which was a promotion they had at the time. This was way back in December. If your credit is decent and Ford's specials work with the Lightning when your delivery comes, then they're usually the best option. Otherwise you have to shop around. Don't just walk into the dealership and let them look for you with whatever random lenders pop up in their system. That always seems to come back with weird results for me.

Rivian is about to have their day of reckoning... Their pricing is not sustainable, especially as more options continue to enter the market. I let my reservation go because I'm happy with my Lightning and it's a better fit for my needs. I held out for the R1T with the Max Pack, but that kept getting nerfed. Rumor has it, they might be about to start delivering the Max Pack, finally. Of course it's a bit smaller than originally promised and only dual motor... I was willing to entertain it for my original pre-order pricing. No way I'd touch an R1 at current full price. OTOH, they're pretty easy to pick up on the 2nd hand market now, even the R1S is selling below MSRP now, so there's that... If I want one, I can just buy one that's hardly been driven.

Not if they could take delivery by EOD Saturday…. ?‍♂?
I'm taking delivery today (found the right one on a lot just this Monday!) and am getting 3.9% for 60 months. They didn't offer 48 months, but I also didn't ask.

Ya I saw the specials all expiring before my delivery most likely. I have USAA and have had good loans there too. I'll have options when I show up a d then see if they have other local deals. I'm buying from a different dealership in my area that has no doc fees and good reputation. About the only other thing I'm worried about is trade in value. If the deal makes me upside-down then I'll walk away, I've got good cars and don't need a new car is my position.

3.9 for 60 has been offered for a few months now. I'm sure it will renew for next month as well.

As I understand it, the deals at the time you ordered OR at the time of delivery can be applied. Of course that doesn’t mean that your specific dealer won’t jerk you around or just not know.

I’m sure I’m not the only person that ordered at the time I did due to the specials. If all the sudden they turn around and say “oh sorry, Ford didn’t build your vehicle fast enough so you don’t get the financing you thought” that will result in lost sales.

I asked this same question when I ordered mine in early September as I know the ford credit offers had an expiration of october.

This is what I got from the Sales Guy, he's well know and has an account on here as well.

"When you order the rates are protected to what they were when you ordered. Is called incentive protect, just like the price is protected to what it is when you ordered. "

That's exactly what I was told as well from my dealer's finance department when I placed my order in July.

What was the deals in July? I probably should have noted that.
