I would not expect anything major to be released until either the powertrain updates are made available again or the new version BC makes its way over here.

Not quite. You're on Sync 23159 which is one version behind the latest. Once these install, it should release the APIM update you're missing to be at the latest Sync version.

Usually immediately after the update that precedes it installs. So, if you were to get the GWM via OTA, the APIM will show right after (as long as the OTA process goes the way it is supposed to and the vehicle reports itself back to the server once the update installs).

Then it should release right away because FDRS will force a sync after every update.

Sounds good. I guess it would be worth buying a 48 hour license to go ahead and knock these out. I will let you know about the APIM

The GWM update is the first I have requiring a USB drive. How long should the GWM generally take?

They are quick. Just follow the FDRS instructions and also the instructions on the touchscreen. APIM, GWM, TCU and IPC will all require the USB. The APIM files are 6GB's and can take a long time to download. Just name the USB drive something short like ford or sync and freshly format it to exFAT between every update you do.

Edit: It is common for people to have to switch to a different USB if the updates don't take.
