Software update check hangs

Using SYNC to check for software updates, it just sits there and spins. Does not seem to matter where vehicle is, in town, at home. Any suggestions?

10 mm wrench to disconnect the negative on the 12v battery for about 10 minutes.

Make sure you give it a couple of hours to complete updates just in case one is in progress. Gateway updates will cause any communications to the outside world to hang until the updates are complete. If it has been a couple of hours and symptoms persist, you can pull fuse 32 and reinstall it a few minutes later to restart your gateway/modem.

Yes, all modules. I would recommend 20 minutes, though.

It would, but since there is something awry with the status screen, I'd heed the advice to wait a couple hours, then if it continues to be a problem, then either pull the fuse or the 12v negative terminal.

Left the negative off for 20 min and reconnected. That seemed to do the trick, looks like I have karaoke update coming, woohoo!
