Hi guys, I got a Fitcamx for my Lightning and I think I lost the longer screw it comes with. Does anyone know what you'd call this screw? It fits 10-24 threads. I've looked at Home Depot and Lowe's and didn't see it. Going to try Ace Hardware tomorrow. If I don't find it there, I'll reach out to Fitcamx. Just hoping to not have to wait on shipping.

That has a cone point, typically seen with a headless set screw. Not gonna find one of those with a pan head at Lowe’s.

I'm guessing this screw is being used as a set screw and not for joining. Depending on what the set screw point is applying its pressure to, you could try a regular machine screw. Or just get a regular set screw and use an Allen wrench instead of a Phillips to screw in.

I used the original short screw for my install. The long screw bottomed out before the mirror was secure.

That's good news! I'll have to try that this evening. I attempted that, but wasn't getting the threads to engage. I'll push a little harder lol. Thanks!

Still couldn't get the original screw threads to engage with the plastic mount in place. Swung by Ace Hardware, and while I couldn't find a screw with the cone point, a 10-24 1/2" length worked like a charm. If it comes loose in the future, I'll look for the cone point.

When I bought my Fitcam X that screw was missing. I used the original screw to hold for the interim and installed the right one once Fitcam sent it to me.
