I'm 5'7" so I don't have your problem!

I removed the headrest in the center/back seat so that I didn't have THAT blocking me.

I removed the rear view mirror and added a cheap $20 suction cup mirror from Amazon. I am 6’10 and the rear view mirror was blocking the entire right side of the windshield.

Did removing the mirror throw any codes? I thought there were sensors in the mirror.

No, I removed mine and replaced with a Wolfbox rearview camera/mirror. The wiring is only for power. Why the stock mirror needs power, I have no idea!

Which trim do you have? I'm 6'8" and could only fit in the XLT.
I am 6’10” tall and have not had any issues.
My DL still lists me at 6'9" but old age took some of that away... I'm in that no sunroof group. That is why my Yukon Denali was a Factory order base Denali... No sunroof on the base model... so the rear ceiling ducts ran through the center of the headliner and not over the driver and passenger seats...

So for you regular owners, here are some of our other struggles...

We have the B pillar pushing in on our left shoulder. If you have the door misalignment and the rattle rubber rubbing sound, it's right in our left ear.

At the front of the line at a traffic signal, we have to bend down to see if light has changed. We view the road through the very top of the windshield if we are lucky but kind of have to look down. But since our heads reside higher in the cabin we kind of get the advantage of not being blinded through the drivers door window on sunny days. The A pillar is a blind spot and the B pillar is a headbutt.

Our left butt cheek can uncomfortable lie on the outer seat frame.

I'm more long legged so when I sat in a lariat while shopping when the lighting first came out, the infotainment screen bottom left corner trim dug into my upper shin and redirected my leg where I couldn't comfortable operate the accelerator for very long. One pedal driving is superior for my large sneakers, boots and shoes. Nothing like getting ones foot stuck on the edge of a brake pedal or not being able to get it over onto it because of a knee into a steering wheel. Not all vehicles have adjustable steering columns. The ones that have manual adjustable
tend to provide more room then motorized types. I do find Fords have almost parallel brake and accelerators.

I'm in a cold climate so winter boots and wearing a winter jacket can sausage me in. Putting on the seatbelt can be an issue so I tend to pull the belt all the way out, hold it with my left hand then squeeze my right hand between my body and the center console to clip it. The shoulder seat belt height adjustment needs to go up another inch or 2.

The headrest doesn't align where it should and the seat back tops digs into our upper backs.

Car shopping is easy but not because they sometimes look at you and will say, sorry but I have nothing for you, or when you get stuck trying to get in, or if you get in you can't even move your legs, operate the pedals or you hit your head.

We are just humans, some a little wider with that extra height, some with longer torsos or some have longer legs...

I also tell people that my lightning is also my first and only sports car...

And because you other averaged sized forum members are lightning owners, I will give you one tip... Never ask us taller than average humans how's the weather up there?... Because it always looks like rain and perhaps some projectile liquid might leave our face... And yes I can still dunk at my old age... It's just now a cookie dunked into my coffee and then slammed into my mouth.

I'm quite fond of sitting up high in the vehicle now that I have head clearance for a change (I'm 6'2"). But I'm noticing more that the rearview takes up a decent amount of visual real estate.
I'm in exactly the same boat, and "just lower your seat" is not helpful. Over the years I've moved a number of mirrors to make it easier for me to see, but this one doesn't seem well suited to a simple fix.

Heck, at 5' 10" I find the center mirror annoying (no seat adjustment in a Pro).

I've been radio silent on this thread for a bit because I did try to adjust the seat positions. But nothing really seemed to work. I get maybe another inch of viewable space. Anything more and it's like I'm driving in my Ford Fiesta again which is ridiculous for a vehicle this size.

Thanks for the ideas, gang. Knew I could count on someone else to have figured out a solution and it seems like @AngelFan2002 nailed it.

I believe the power is only for the auto dimming when driving at night.

That'd be it! I never really got to use that feature because I installed that Wolfbox mirror/dashcam within days of owning the truck.
