Recall 25S49/25V315 Rear Camera Screen Software Update

I just saw this one the other day in Fordpass, has a date of 5/12.

I haven't seen that anyone else has mentioned it, but thought I'd throw it out there to see how common it is.

Writeup says that there's no fix available at this time, with an ETA of 3Q2025.

Lightning isn't specifically listed either, but F-150 might cover it.

And someone in the ICE forum posted the letter that shows affected vehicles. Includes F-150's built at Rouge Electrical which would mean Lightnings (they misspelled Rouge of course, apparently they are rogue).

But I didn't think there were any Lightnings built in Oct 2021??

I have a 23 XLT and my rear camera for the truck bed is intermittent. Of course when I brought it to the dealer it was fine. Every time I have a Home depot load and try to use it , it doesnt work... I will try and call the dealer again and reference this recall.......

Not in my support list of recalls/CSPs as of today, and I have not experienced the issue on my 2023 Pro.

"Production Dates: Jan 08, 2020 - Apr 16, 2024...
Affected vehicles are equipped with SYNC4 software versions between 1.7 and
1.9. These vehicles are not produced in VIN order....
527,371 F-150 vehicles are affected."

I'm pretty sure that I got a mailing about this one too. But now I don't see it in Fordpass or ford.com.

Strange that it was there for awhile and then it wasn't.

I have a 2023 Lariat SR with a 11/23 build date that I purchased new from a dealer in April 2025.

Last week, I received the attached letter from Ford, stating my vehicle was part of Safety Recall Notice 25S49. The letter goes on to state:

This notice concerns Safety Recall 25S49, which addresses a software issue with the infotainment screen where it may freeze followed by a black screen and a system reboot. If this occurs during a backing event, the rear view image may be frozen, missing, or delayed.

and

Our records indicate that this recall has been fully remedied for your vehicle through a free-of-charge Over-The-Air (OTA) software update.

and

Your vehicle is now operating with the most up-to-date software to address this safety recall, and Ford recorded that the remedy for your vehicle's recall has been completed.

The one and only OTA update I have received since April 2025 is the one shown below:

I believe Lightnings are not included, and I believe there is a specialized F-150 assembly at Rouge Electrical also.
