2022 with 57k miles on it, just got it, used obviously. Going into smart scales it is showing about half the payload already taken up when the truck is empty. The estimated passenger is set to 200, and turning that estimate reminder on and off does add and subtract about 200 from the green bar, but its still at 600 pounds or so without it.

(talking about the vehicle payload graph, not the horizontal sliding scales screen)

What gives? how do i fix this? I know for a fact there is not 600 pounds hiding anywhere, frunk, underseat, bed etc all empty. Im not even in it, im outside looking in.

is this a calibration issue, is it worn out shocks, dirty sensors? anyone have any idea?

Does the vehicle have a leveling kit?

Is there not a reset button to set the scale weight back to zero if the truck truly is empty?

scale yes, vehicle payload graph no. im talking about the overall payload screen. the horizontal sliding scale one zero's every time you open it, or mine does anyway.

this isnt mine, but this is the screen im talking about My max is 1700.

maybe it just needs a sync reset...you know, the volume down and right arrow buttons deal? (or whatever it is...I can't recall off the top of my head)

To reset the Ford F-150 Lightning's SYNC system, you can perform a soft reboot or a master reset. For a soft reboot, press and hold the power button (on the volume knob, if available) and the seek right button simultaneously for about 10 seconds, according to Ford.

did both, the soft reboot and hard reset to clear all data... did not fix anything.

I wonder if you could run the various calibrations with forscan?

Not sure, i dont know enough about the calibration to know what it does. id be worried id cal it at '0' with something messed up and throw everything out of whack even more.

I would think it just reads the module and sensors and puts them back to factory? Maybe you could find the module itself and reboot it within Forscan first. It already doesn't work, so why not?

well it does, cause me climbing in and out adds a chunk to it, just the initial starting value is wrong.

id assume disconnecting the 12v and reconnecting it would reset all the electronics too right? cause i did that last week for something else.
