Thank you @Ford Motor Company, I appreciate the notice...hopefully he has some resolution to his problem, soon.
Yes they told me this as well, but I have no idea what "working on it" means. Again, my understanding is they are waiting on a software package. and maybe I'm asking too much to ask what is being compiled, what is being changed in the software, why this isn't a commonly available package and what other things will this seemingly customized build do to my truck? Or I guess their truck since theyve had it longer than me and seems will be submitted for lemon law soon.

So sorry this "Gold Certified" Vehicle has been such a let down.
So, in addition I never got a reply to my earlier question (post 14) (@Ford Motor Company )
" So, who stands behind "Gold Certified" certification? FMC or the Ford dealer?"
Is "Gold Certified" Just a gimmick to get more $$$ at the sale, and a false sense of security.
@Ford Motor Company conspicuous by their absence.

Here's the legal-ese PDF.

https://www.ford.com/cmslibs/conten...BA_GoldCertified_LimitedWarranty_4Q22_R02.pdf

Somewhere in the info it flat out says there's no guarantee of no issues. The Gold warranty means they inspected it to the best of their ability and they will fix it within the 1 year/12,000 miles of limited warranty.

If the Ford engineers are working on it. Likely it will take longer than OP has time for.

OP's best course is to get it bought back by Ford and get a different vehicle. Sounds like a lemon.

yup. that pretty much sums it up. i have lost out on the following:

1 month of original warranty
Remainder of rest of blue cruise (would've been nice to test it)
Remainder of rest of connectivity (which I dont really care about)
Out of return policy for a tonneau cover and a bunch of other accessories
had just had spray in liner done

and now eating into the Gold warranty as well and they also have asked for up to 30 days to approve etc. All the while i just have to sit and wait as I cant go and buy another truck in the event that they decline my buy back...so now i am going to have to rent a truck for work as well...its been pretty rough. I've definitely had the car for less time than it took to ship to me and be in shop - I think its 2 weeks vs 7 and going now. 😭

ive purchased plenty of used vehicles and never had this kind of experience. and even with all the other vehicles Ive owned from oldsmobile, VW, Toyota, Acura, Honda, Lexus, Tesla...my car has never been in the shop for this long with no clear path to resolution. Thats whats killing me...if its a software package, why is it taking multiple days to release unless they are doing custom builds PER vehicle which is even crazier...

And you're right there is no going back to ICE - but I will just have to compromise and get a diff EV brand. Maybe the Silverado EV or the smaller Rivian R1T, neither of which I thought were as comfortable and smooth as the lightning - but they do have more range and people that I know that have either havent had this type of experience. or I just get a non truck EV and deal with it. I dont know.
I love my lightning and our R1S.. you really can't go wrong with either. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.. it's what I worry about having owned a Model 3 for 6 years without a single issue that wasn't of my doing (like cracking my windshield, etc.).

I would at least entertain Ford's offers to make this right, they should be realizing all of this at the time if/when they buy it back and take it into account on the new deal. Do this before just heading elsewhere.

They may make you an offer you'd be crazy to refuse :p

I would settle for an answer as to what the heck is taking 2 weeks of my truck sitting still!!! And I agree, i like the R1S but i think my problem there is after seeing the Gen2 and the camera resolution side by side and the plans for use of them that the Gen1 won't have is a bummer. I cant bring myself to spend the price they want for new.

I think if anything at this point, I'll proibably consider a Silverado EV RST. I don't think it will be as comfortable, but the insane range may make up for that. That and the fact that I can get in and out without having to hit a start button. I'm in same boat as you I had a Model 3 for the longest time that i had zero issues with so to come to this, where they talk about how its America's #1 selling truck and how the benefit was that its built on the same platform so shouldnt be issues...just makes me so sad.

I can confirm that the team is actively working on this in the background.

Thanks for the update
Hate to hear that FORD hasn't got a solution by this time.
you and i both. and i think this is my biggest issue. i keep being told "theyre working on it" but no one can tell me what exactly they're working on, or even give me a remote answer as to what it is other than "a software package" which can mean so many different things. :(

it looks like they have solved 1 of the 2 original problems i.e. acm has been replaced and now reprogrammed. it also looks like the gps module has been replaced, but didn't solve the problem. in addition there is 1 new problem, with the 15 inch display not working now.

the progress seems slow, at 2.5 weeks, but keep in mind there are many people who are working to solve you trucks problems.

once they get it fixed, you will discover that is a great truck.

Well the saga continues.

Ford today declined my buyback stating it does not meet state lemon laws. and now i will have to file for arbitration with the BBB and go thru federal litigation.

@Ford Motor Company gives ZERO Fs about my situation and the fact that they still have zero path/time to resolution and that i will continue to pay for a vehicle that doesnt work, while having to pay to rent a vehicle to do my job.

If anyone has had to apply the federal guidelines to their lemon i would appreciate any guidance.
