Ya, you keep telling yourself that...
The earth is NOT heating up . . . it's snowing on the East Coast....😅😂🤣
I don't have to, I live on the coast and I go down to the very edge every year and measure it myself, not 1 inch of rise. Not even a quarter inch.

Well, you know this is the day they have all been waiting for.
The Roll back.
Not one of those companies were doing any of this on their own volition, the only reason we have high mileage ICE vehicles today . . is because the Government forced them to, otherwise they would just eek along, with their paltry mileage cars & trucks. The world will be taken over by Chinese EV flooding the market, it's just a mater of time. Same goes for solar & Batteries.

This. Soon the Big 3 will just be niche market's at the rate they are refusing to adapt. The USA has already conceded the eco-box market to foreign makers. Ford literally does not make a car other than the 20k Mustangs they sell.

If they give EV's to Tesla and Chinese, they'll only be left with oversized luxury ICE. A good market in the USA, but certainly not a large presence.

Superior technology will prevail, it may just take more time.

They've been claiming that about sea level for over 50 years and it hasn't risen an inch. I call bs.
Someone should tell the US Navy that they're wasting their time and money on raising pier heights to counter rising sea levels

Huh? How do you measure the rise at its "edge?" That will always be zero.

According to global-scale measurements, the ocean’s average (global mean) sea level has risen about 20–24 cm (≈ 8–9 inches) since roughly 1900.

Here are a few key details:
  • One commonly cited figure is ~ 21–24 cm rise since 1880.
  • Another review puts the rise at around 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) over the past century.
  • The rate of sea-level rise has accelerated: while the early 20th-century increase was fairly slow (on the order of ~1–2 mm/year), recent decades have seen rates around 3–4 mm/year or more.

High tide, low tide pier. Several marks on each. No rise.

Well, you have not spent any time in San Francisco, I can see...
The Embarcadero is getting nuisance flooding and wave overtopping which occurs under existing conditions, impacting a small area of the Embarcadero Promenade and roadway. nearly every month if not more often. and there are plans in the works to raise the ferry Building, 6 ' higher on Pier footings....
Yep, no sea level rise looking through those rose colored glasses...

As some one from Canada, we just haven't politicized EV's like Americans have. Ignoring proven scientific data that human made carbon is CONTRIBUTING to heating the Earth is again an American thing for some reason. Stating that most Electricity is produced by fossil fuels, so why bother, you guessed it, is an American thing. (80% of electricity in Canada is generated from non green house gas sources). There are plenty of ways to generate electricity that require little to no fossil fuels (Renewables, hydro, nuclear...). I mean the USA can set up a plan to colonize Mars but can't figure out how to make electricity without fossil fuels that's already been done before... Sorry that's a cop out fed to you by oil companies.

Bottom line is the rest of the world is moving forward whether you believe what I said or not. I've purchased American vehicles (Ford, GM) my whole life but with the crazy priced Tariffs and the going backwards in technology, it's making me think, this lightning will be my last one. If you take a look at what's happening outside the US bubble, the Chinese are fighting hard to sell EV's in Canada as well as trying to dominate the rest of the world in auto sales. They are advancing their tech at lightning speed which is already going to be really hard to catch up to. Taking your foot off the gas and going backwards does not bode well. Doesn't take a genius to figure out what's going to happen to American auto in the long run. It's unfortunate that made up, avoidable, politics is what's going to be the downfall of legacy auto.
Thank You!

Clearly it is a result of the Embarcadero sinking, not the ocean rising... 😜
