I was wondering about people’s price to charge your lightning at home?

What is your lowest rate per kilowatt?

I pay 14Ā¢ in British Columbia.
10.5 cents any time in central TX

I found out the Kansas legislature heard I was buying a lightning so they passed a bill that changed the yearly registration to 200 bux a year when getting a tag. My 2000 ford pickup is $24 a year for the tag. Go figure. Guess they don't think I'm paying my fair share of gasoline tax for road repair.

I make more than I use but if I paid for it during "normal" hours it would be about .47 cents per KW
in San Diego. They call it the sunshine tax here.

14 cents here in British Columbia Canada. Doesn't matter what time of the day, I get no discount for night time. But that said, we mostly charge it in town, for free, so costs us absolutely nothing. The 6900 kms we put on our Lightning so far, has probably cost us less than $200 in electricity.

I continue to be surprised by how many free chargers are in the area, including a couple level 3 50kW free chargers, if I'm not in a hurry.

Only charge from Midnight to 6am in Kansas City. .02 in the winter and .03 in the summer. When at our Montana place we charge for free as we are off grid/solar. Also have free 11kw charging at the community center in the closest town.

PG BC has plenty of free chargers.

But since we like going to the swimming pool, thats where we charge the most, and it's free. Our church also has free charging. That is only naming a fee, but they are all over. Really no need to charge at home.

Connecticut is stupid expensive at about .36Ā¢ per Kwh (includes transmission, delivery and a host of other crap fees). I just got solar which should cut my bill down 50+%.

I can’t throttle my charging speed to not overwhelm my panels. Is there a way?

How do you get that?
It’s a program though our utility company. You sign up, they install a Wallbox and are able to communicate with it via WiFi. A flat $31 fee shows up on your bill and the kWh logged from the charger are subtracted from your house utility meter.

.07 in Northeast Ohio. We have two EV's, so getting locked into a good rate is important.
