First issue and it's a doozy... P0AA6 / P1A10

Shut me down in middle of nowhere at side of the road about 10 hours from home.

Anyone have any luck convincing their non-home base dealership to provide loaner? This dealer is saying could be 2 months for the part. Ford is saying warranty on high voltage is parts and service only.

It's going to be a while and I'm a long way from home. Wouldn't love to just leave it behind, never had a breakdown like this before.

What is the part that takes two months to get?

You can have it shipped home. Sucks to eat the shipping bill but it also sucks to leave your car 10 hours away. Maybe Ford will pitch in.

I wasn't able to get a loaner when my battery was replaced at a different dealership than where I purchased it.

It might be but I'm showing a different part from dealer - NL3Z-18E254-B is what they're telling me.

If it was a week or less I would bite the bullet on a rental. 2 months? Becomes a bitter pill to swallow.

Certainly looks like the PTC in my unprofessional opinion. Older revision but in stock available on ebay. I did get some info I've been dying to know while searching, specs 298V 7.0 kw. At least for revision A.

Interesting. Got a part number on current? If it's cross-swappable you might have just turned a season into a weekend.

Update: Appears the PTC is a portion of the assembly you referenced, PTC is on back order.

In the last couple months it seems there have been as many PTC failures as LVBs...screams recall territory imo.

Edit: Also explains why it's backordered.

The reason I'm dubious of the part they're quoting me is everything says '25 Mach E. I know newer Lightning have a heat pump, but I can't imagine all lightnings went to a new mach e part and Ford just didn't update their part #'s.

The fact that you know of the exact issue and reference a different part ID makes me wonder if somehow this one got glanced over in the recall. I bought it used.

It's also worth saying it was -26 at the time of failure (which also sucked being a human with no heat availability on the side of the road)

This seems to be the part number for my truck, perhaps they are interchangeable, seems dumb to have individual models have different part numbers like that if they are interchangeable.

Crud. So my options are leave the truck and rent a car, or tow the truck back home.

Or live in a new time zone.
