I'm coming due to replace my wipers. Can anyone vouch for a recommended replacement for blade inserts? Meaning not the whole arm, just the rubber/silicone inserts. Save me the trial and error of ordering something from Amazon that claims to be suitable, but ends up not being so. Allow me to learn from your mistakes. :)

I wasn't aware that you could just replace the rubber part. I have always replaced the entire blade. If no one gives you a good insert lead and you do replace the whole blade I recommend Bosch Icon. Then have always worked great for me. Only takes a minute or 2 to replace each one.

Did you ever find one that works? My 23 Pro original blade is designed to be very easy to replace the rubber. 3mm wide 5mm hight but Amazon refill dimensions don’t seem to be trustworthy. Getting ready to order some of them. If anyone knows which one works please do share.

It was easy to get the end cap off.

I don’t vouch for this but this is from another thread.
I saw that one. The problem I have is most of the dimensions on what is posted on Amazon is not the same as OEM rubber. What I measured the rubber in the OEM blade is 0.3 in x 05 in ( 7.6 mm x 12.7 mm). This one is 5 x 10 mm.

Hadn’t heard of this hack but maybe I’ll try it.
It depends on the blades you have. You may have to buy a new set and then replace the rubber going further. Also in that same thread you can get two 24” Bosch blades and supposedly theyll fit. Again I can’t vouch for this but I’m gonna try it. Perhaps the rubber replacements will fit the Bosch.

Please let us know what works for you. My 23 Pro blade is 22 in.

My original blades have been working for 38 months but the rubber is busted and we have rain tomorrow. I may just buy a set of blades and then take my time experimenting with the refills until I get one working. I will post whatever I learn here.

I went with the square-profile Kimblade blades 12+ months ago... never looked back. I just replaced their square-shape rubber in the past month. Highly recommend them.

‘What do you particularly like about them that justify the $30 refill vs $5-$12 regular type? My Original wiper was regular type and lasted 3 years. Do the square type clean better?

I ordered these in Oct 2023 for my regular f150 although should fit the lightning, they come with an extra refill as well and I had just put the refill on recently. Truthfully was surprised and only reason I bought them a coupon made them $13 and shipped free even though I usually just bulk buy through rockauto.

I've had many wipers over the years, from OEM to specialty ones including Bosch, etc.

What I really like about the Kimblades are:

1. the special glass preparation packet which comes with the 1st set of Kimblades. It somehow binds with the surface of the glass to make the glass permanently slicker.

2. The Kimblades really never ever develop a "squeeeak" like the others eventually do.

3. Rain, dust, snow and bugs come off better for longer.

FYI - The replacement stock of a Kimblade is universal length - You trim to the length of the old Kimblade and re-use the Kimblade's steel stiffener inserts.

Hope this answered Your question adequately.

Update: I ordered the following:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYZHQ7HZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Ford F-150 Lightning Wiper Inserts? 1774625299539-bq

Ford F-150 Lightning Wiper Inserts? 1774625260531-r

It is slightly smaller than what came off of the original blade but is fits OK and it was very quick and easy to install. I will update if there is any performance issues.

Ford F-150 Lightning Wiper Inserts? 20260327_110607

p.s. If you are in a jam during rain/storm, have two bad blades and want to practice an ultimate cheap ass solution while you are waiting for your refill order; you can buy only one cheap blade and combine the good parts of the two original rubbers in one of the original blades while waiting for the order to arrive. If you cut them straight and to the right size, you won't be able to tell the difference in performance with a new one.

Now that I have installed the refills, I have a backup blade I can keep in the truck on long trips if I don't want to mess with installing a backup refill on the trip.
