We have a ’22 CA-Rt 1.

The ride isn’t as nice as the Lightning’s. We don’t take it on road trips as often as the Lightning.

We once took both on a 1200 mile round trip road trip together for reasons. We stopped at the same stops with almost exactly the states of charge. The vehicles accumulated charge as a percent of the battery at the same rate, so we were ready to leave the chargers at the same time.

That lasted until we used two different adapters at a supercharger. The A2Z second-generation adapter held the rate better than the Ford-branded adapter did, so the Mustang charged faster than the Lightning did.

That’s really interesting. The nerd in me would have had to switch adapters between vehicles just to verify!

I did. The A2Z performs better than the Ford-branded Lectron and better than the Lectron-branded Lectron. I’d already given away the Ford-branded Tesla-built adapter so couldn’t test it.

To be clear, this is in that instance and for one other test. I can’t say I did full scientific tests. Both of the times I tested were in very high ambient temperatures (around 110 to 120 F) on posts that were in full sun.

Just bought a 2025 Rally, whoop whoop!

Loved the idea of this car from the start, didn't love the white wheels that most of them come with (yeah, yeah, rally historic) but the Sand color comes on grey and I got $20k+ off MSRP on a unit with 17k miles, vet driven (vet plates were still on in dealer pics) and serviced every 3k (I don't even know what you do to an EV every 3k so I think the vet was an older person)(EDIT: no shade to older people, I am rapidly becoming one myself!).

Absolutely immaculate inside, like it has never been on the road, a few tiny rock chips (inevitable in Oregon) and one odd blem on the trunk that we'll cover with a WRC badge or something...
Keep em shiny side up boys, this thing's 15% faster to 60 than the Lightnings, yeehaw!

PS- $41,7xx OTD btw if anyone needs a data point, hard to pass up and a solid stand-in for our old 2021 STI...
