We have been looking at e-scooters for this which are much more compact. Not sure you could fit a bike.

Yes
There are quite a few that would fit.
I researched them a while back, but I'm sure things have advanced quite a bit since then.
I never got one.

I would hope it would not require OTA software updates. 😂

I would get either a non electric fordable bike (like the one's people take on a boat) which is inexpensive and light or a lighter electric scooter. The bike is better for potholes, the scooter can be more compact.

If you want to go fancy on scooter, I like this one but it is heavy and may not fit in the Frunk:

but it is low maintenance and has Regen + Drum break.

My Ninebot fits fine. While I can’t stand the small wheels, having the charger & scooter always stashed is a great transport alternative. It typically has well over 24+ miles of range.

Exactly what I do.

I prefer the scooter. It’s easier to carry inside if needed, and much easier to leave it outside. Especially in cities where it’s littered with scooters already.

It’s got a removable battery, I keep it plugged into the frunk and leaves me plenty of space to still store stuff and not have to worry about moving it in and out all the time.

This particular one was also UL Certified and point in time went on clearance for $129. Unfortunately I think it has since been discontinued…

Wow, that is a fantastic price!

Biggest issues I have hit picking one is weight capacity, most of them on Amazon top out at 220lbs which won't quite cut it for me. They have higher capacity ones but they are $$$.

The cost made me throw everything else out the window, I ended up buying a couple of them. This one tops out at 200lbs…and I’m working on getting under that.

The first couple of times I was cautious, expecting this:

But so far the wheels haven’t fallen off.
