The tire guys informed me my passenger front CV axel is on it's way out. Leaking some grease. I can hear it starting to go to as I drive. There's a bunch of tutorials on YouTube on how do do it yourself, but they're all for regular F150's. (See link). I got a replacement aftermarket axel that Amazon swears is compatible with my '22 XLT. (See other link). I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this and if it is indeed just like a regular F150.....

I have done it on my 2000 F-150. Hardest part of the job is getting the axle shaft out of the hub. An air chisel/hammer helps a lot.

I’d hope a 2022 isn’t rusted to the hub that hard just yet lol

Whelp, I did it. And I put it on video, because as far as I can tell... there's no other YouTube videos of a CV axel replacement for the Lightning, an I might as well let others learn from my adventure, warts and all.

Please enjoy.

How did your brakes looks after 67,000 miles?
Funny you should ask. My rear brakes were down to 2mm. I had to replace the pads a couple weeks ago. I'm going to replace the front pads in the next couple weeks just because.

What are your driving habits; 1PD or you leave it off?

I prefer 1PD. The wife however.... hates 1PD. I work from home 50% of the time, so on days I'm not using it, she drives it to work. (Thus it runs almost exactly 50% in 1PD mode).
