I figured out what has been causing my dashcam to stay on and drain the 12v battery after a couple days. I installed the Viofo A229 dashcam with the OBD2 plug in wiring from the Ford Thinkware dashcam kit I purchased for my first Lightning in 2022. The wiring uses a PAC IGN-3F phantom latching box to switch the power on. Unfortunately on the Lightining that latching box was never shutting off the accessory power. I plugged the radar detector into a Dongar mirror plug which works perfect, but it can’t seem to support both the RD and the dashcam as the cam keeps powering down randomly. I’ll leave the RD on the Dongar and wire the dashcam directly to the fuse box. I won’t wire the dashcam separately to constant 12v and accessory power, only to accessory as I don’t want any risk of draw when parked.
