Last week I went to the redwoods near Santa Cruz, CA. Yesterday while washing the truck, I noticed that some friendly forest critter decided to chew on the rubber seals around the moonroof.
Has anyone else run into this, or am I just really lucky? Also, has anyone replaced these seals (or had them replaced)? I'm just curious how challenging the repair is and what kind of cost I might be looking at.
Side note: About 4–6 weeks ago, I applied a very light coating of silicone paste to the seals. I wonder if that could have acted as an attractant. The truck has been washed several times since then, but I'm curious if anyone has heard of that happening.
