I would guess the heat pump is only used for battery pack and air conditioner. where previous trucks had air conditioner, electric heater, and heat pump for battery pack. so 3 systems before now only 2. Tesla only has one system for all. the octovalve controls everything.

you misread my response. it does not warm or cool the battery when destination is a charger.

I agree the Ford software is horrible. the nav always takes me to dead end roads, private roads with locked gates. I use Apple Maps and ABRP (a better route planner). both can add NACS and CCS chargers.

from my understanding it warms or cools the truck cabin and battery when plugged in. it is only useful if charging as it will use power from charging cable to control climate and not drain battery. It does not make sure the battery pack is at correct temp for charging like Tesla. I have found...
