I did check the FDRS history for @Lorincz and the tech who did the install of the APIM back in November had a failed PMI process in FDRS and just gave him the truck back without saying anything. Maybe they didn't notice it said the procedure was "unsuccessful" at the end of the process? Dunno...
I'm absolutely sure your service advisor did in fact suggest that. That way they don't have to do anything and can blame Ford. The current revision of Sync is now 1270.

"Some 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles may exhibit a reduced distance to empty (DTE) projection, a high voltage (HV) battery pack state of charge (SOC) that drops from 100% to less than 90% within 60 seconds of being driven...
So for those who haven't updated to FDRS 42.5.10, there's a new noteworthy feature that provides 'dependency clues' for some of the updates. And it's pretty useful info.
Here's an example from a VIN I ran this morning:
We can see from the note that doing the IPC will unlock other updates...
You can but they need to be plugged in to separate household circuits in order for one of them to not 'quit' in the middle of programming. I've done it. But others have reported that when they did it one of the two units stopped producing power and so their voltage dropped as a result. I suspect...
Recommended 32GB/64Gb USB 3.2 Gen 1 (high transfer speeds), exFat, using the "Default Allocation size" option in the Windows formatting dialog. If you're using a 'regular' thumb drive Windows will automatically create a MBR partition. You only need to worry about GPT partition changeover to MBR...
Break out the USB drive because it's update time!
Do the GWM first, then, if another GWM doesn't show up, do the APIM.
That should do the trick. My '22 is on the APIM rev "-NG" which I know is Sync 1270. The application manifest for the APIM in your list says it's the same "-NG" revision...

I used to leave them unfolded until one day the car wash nearest to where I live took the charge door cover panel completely off and broke the pin. The door cover went right back on, but I had to find that pin, and you can't order it for a Lightning...you have to order the entire charge port...
Many dealers put these on the FCTP program. When that happens the warranty start date is established, and Ford reports this as a "sale" for the purposes of their accounting. A LOT of vehicles are put on the FCTP program, and in fact there are some dealerships that have MOST of their floorplan on...
There were a few in the list that have had all the recalls performed, so somebody's been keeping up with them....but there are others in that list that fit the worst case scenario you're talking about, all recalls still open, and at least one of them had a 12V battery somewhere around 28% :p...
