  1. New truck one week. Frunk stopped opening to the full

Where did you buy it? Just take it to the nearest ford dealer.
  2. Battery swapping

What's the life cycle of a vehicle. In terms of years? I think you're overestimating the tech. 2-3x more capable? Not for a long time. That is the great thing about the design of the lightning battery box, easily replaced. Finally, home charging is where its at. Period. The logistics of...
  3. Problems with Preconditioning with new Ford Pass App

Hard to tell right now as the temps here probably don't require precon. It might show when it's plugged in and actively doing it. The battery conditioning system is active whenever the truck is plugged in but there is no indication.
  4. Problems with Preconditioning with new Ford Pass App

It preconditions when you have a departure time set and it's plugged in but the old app had a slider "precondition while unplugged" that is now replaced with a slider "prepare cabin off plug". Same function.

I have 7 apps from the brands for their chargers and plugshare. Also Waze now too.
  6. Just got this recall in the mail....

A ota probably doesn't satisfy the nhtsa requirements for a recall. This was a regulatory recall from the nhtsa and not a Ford CSP.
  7. Just got this recall in the mail....

This should have already been done, it's an actual recall from November 2023. Plenty of info on the forums.
  8. Venting heat through moonroof

The universal windows would have been nice but all I've ever done is just cracked all 4 windows to let the heat out, no need for a roof hole.
  9. Here's one for ya ?

The only concern is if the unit is recommended for that type of installation. Most units are designed for wall mounting so that excess heat is carried up and away. Mounting any electronics on a ceiling can cause some real problems and also be a hazard.
  10. AP Article: Charging Cable Thefts Hurting EV Market

Some loser was stealing copper tubes from people's running airconditioners so it's no surprise. These same type of losers will also steal live lines from substations and win a Darwin. Just like cats though, look towards the yards taking in questionable loads.
  11. Wireless phone charging defect - bad fan

Never had any heat issues with mine but its not an iPhone and doesn't have a big case on it.
  12. Trying to use my ford station pro to charge a cycbertruck

Yes, you are correct. The j3400 uses 2 pins for both ac and DC whereas the ccs type plug contains seperate pins for ac and DC, the ac pins are part of the j1772 standard. The adapters are either for dcfc or level 2 AC.
  13. Lightning Bluetooth Behavior Not Too Smart-Holds Onto Phone Connection When Driver Not In Truck

That's the limitation of Bluetooth unfortunately. Bluetooth is archaic and is problematic across the spectrum of devices. It uses less energy than other current options and is so entrenched in society that it will be a long time before it goes anywhere. I understand you don't want a cable on...
  14. Lightning Bluetooth Behavior Not Too Smart-Holds Onto Phone Connection When Driver Not In Truck

Try renaming your devices to something in an alphabetical order you want them prioritized if they aren't already. The problem is the Bluetooth standard, don't hate on truck. If you are so worried about the 12v then get a maintainer wired in with a plug conveniently located.
  15. Not always the fastest truck on the road....

Doubt you'll find a faster production truck.
  16. Front motor disengaged. No error.

Front contactor glitch. Happened to me once in 46000kms. Could be software related but check with your dealer as they have access to the background codes if you have connectivity turned on.
  17. Powertrain malfunction

Keep an eye on it and don't panic.
