I haven't encountered such rudeness but the catch is that since most ev chargers are on private property, people blocking them can be persuaded to move by a trespassing charge and having their vehicle towed.
Most of the time the anti ev internet trolls are just that, trolls. They rarely see...
Interesting, in the usa, I see they actually advertise it as 30a that can be used on propower. In Canada, they mention 30a output for the evse but no mention of using it on the propower. Probably some regulatory loophole. The back of the evse I have says 32a max. Wondering if the American...
Probably not. The Ford mobile power cord draws 32a continuous at 240v and would need a 40a breaker minimum, Ford recommends 50a breaker as it uses a 50a plug.
Better off using something below 30a, many adjustable evse on the market now.
It's not out yet, they haven't integrated it yet, Tesla hasn't even trialed the compatibility yet from what I can see.
They shook hands and made a deal, I haven't seen any actual progress in rolling it out.
So no, they won't have it on vehicles yet. The initial timeline said maybe useable by...
Interesting, no extended range options for pro or xlt? Flash gets Er, like a Lariat with cloth seats. Might fit these subsidies everyone keeps yammering about.
It would be really nice if they could get bluecruise 1.2 or 1.3 or whatever they're going to call it on my 23 Lariat.
Probably going to see heat pump on the 24 models.
They should have called it the lightning "strike" model.
Glad they could get you set up again. There is some circuitry in those dongles, wonder if it was a problem in there as opposed to the charger itself.
I don't use mine often, I keep it in the truck for family trips and Emerg use.
I wouldn't bother with trying to reliably get 240v power from 120v random sources or running multiple generators. It's added weight to carry too.
At 120vac, you'll get about 1% per hour charge for an ER.
Ideally for the lightning, you would go to campsites that already have 240v and bring an...
Canada here. It's not the government's fault for the per kWh pricing not available. The current stations are lacking at best of times but to bill per kWh requires calibrated metering per the weights and measures act. That's going to drive the cost up and the station operators wanted carte...
The Ford mobile power cord comes as a kit or individual parts. The dongles can be ordered seperately but the evse and cord is one piece, was it the dongles they didn't have?
This unit charges at 32a continuous and legally requires a minimum 40a cb. Since its nema 14-50, that circuit should...
Who cares, unless you buy a cheap knockoff, they all do the same basic job.
Don't use adapters in a permanent install.
Tesla is overrated and overhyped by the Stans.
The truck does the scheduling, you don't need WiFi anything.
If I didn't get a "free" fcsp I would have bought the basic...
There is nothing wrong with your screen.
You barely used any for driving. The majority of your electrical usage went elsewhere.
The inverse will happen going uphill.
That is correct, they will stay on when its running but will eventually shut off to prevent the battery going flat.
With some of these more tech advanced vehicles like the lightning, even leaving the door open won't kill the battery.
I've actually gotten annoyed by this feature while working...
The MAX charge rates are different.
