I've run grinders and air compressors off my pro power and it performs better than my shop outlets.
I would test that welder to see how much it really draws. I'd guess that it's spiking beyond what it claims.
Also, as someone posted above, the trip threshold is different but its still pretty...
If it stopped working after you put the light in then it's something you did.
Take it apart and check all your connections and wiring again. Maybe try without the light plugged in too.
If that fails then the dealer might help but I'd be expecting to pay for that service as the light bar...
It's your house supply possibly.
If the truck is good but 2 different chargers at your house don't work then it's the house. I would try another level 2 somewhere else to confirm.
Possibly your voltage is sagging or some other wiring issue.
Also, did you add your house as a charging...
ER is a must.
You might be able to make 200 miles with a small trailer but speed would have to be sub 60mph. Also depends on trailer setup.
Level 1 charging will get you about 1% per hour. The lightning maxes the level 1 at 1200w, regardless of evse capability.
I'm not sure if the lightning uses the same system as the ice version but there have been a few reports of them failing.
Your dealer has instant behind the scenes access to faults that you may or may not see, I would give them a call just to make sure.
You have the new update for the cluster. You can tell the difference by the speed limit sign now left of the speedo.
A couple other things have changed on it too.
This whole inventory thing is just crazy.
Prior to 2019 there was always inventory sitting on dealer lots. You could go in and buy the model you wanted and not wait for months. Competition and availability kept the prices down.
Over the last 4 years, inventory dried up and prices jumped and...
That's what forums are for! That's why there's a bias of information, people don't post online that often how everything is going smoothly, nor do the majority of owners even visit online forums.
My problems have been unrelated to anything ev specific and a seat heater is definitely not vehicle...
Sure, then let's focus on weight and dimensions and leave the vehicle type out of the equation. Crashing a $100k ev perpendicular through an old barrier design at 60mph doesn't seem very productive.
I saw this crap a couple weeks ago.
What a waste of time, there is no road barrier that is 100% going to stop anything. They are there to mitigate risk. I won't deny that some road infrastructure is inadequate, but it's inadequate even for a smart car.
It's an ev hit piece, there are many...
For sure, that's why it's so rare these days.
However, the heating element itself may not be the problem but the wiring going to it may have caught fire.
A thorough investigation from ford and the manufacturer of the seat heater should point to the cause.
I wouldn't wash it through insurance just yet. Forget the dealer, this problem goes right to Ford.
Ya, I thought that it was odd he continued driving while the truck was smoking inside and he was aware of it. You don't have to be a ff or ems to realize that you should stop immediately...
Luckily you and your dogs were not injured.
20-30 Years ago seat heater fires were quite common. Today, not as common but there have been the occasional failure across all brands.
The biggest takeaway is to only use the heaters when occupied by someone capable of feeling the heat and...
Unless it's obvious, like a keying or they leave a note, I would just assume someone pranged it. I've seen plenty of videos where the car gets dinged accidentally and the assailant speeds off in shame immediately.
Plugging in to level 2 will keep the battery from being too cold or too hot.
Setting the schedule will make sure the battery is at ideal temp for departure.
