These updates can pull 60amps+ for hours on end depending on what you're updating and the 12v battery is tiny compared to what the ICE variants are using where they can get away with one that's only 20 amps. Many of us with 22/23's have spent 6hrs+ a number of times and a couple have found out...
Once you go to the dark side, it's hard to go back. :devilish: Be sure you have a good power supply since the Lightning's battery is small and you can kill it easily with the longer updates. Which can't imagine there's anything major out there for the 25 currently.
Likely won't get any sympathy from Ford or the dealer. Ford will just say "soon" and the dealer isn't updating anything without $$$$. Aside from waiting, having someone near you with FDRS or doing it yourself are about the only options. You can ping mikeg or rugedraw and they should be able to...
Put in somewhere a few hundred miles away and it should add a charging stop and show percentage. Without navigating, it usually shows 2 of your frequent locations and estimated arrival percentage. Don't recall having to do anything special when I updated my 23 with FDRS in October of last year.
The 25's didn't ship with android auto ev routing? Know the 24's required an update but the 25's not having it would be a bit ridiculous even for Ford.
Quick and dirty way is to solder a 360 ohm resistor between pins A-10/A-11. Can be placed on harness or comma end.

Doesn't look like he's been around lately since trading the lightning for a Kia EV9, but @MickeyAO is probably the only one here who has actually tested the cells from the Lightning pack and didn't let his drop below 20% due to not liking the behavior in the lab below that. Something about the...
Now don't go making sense. I don't solder much and the only reason I even have one is it's butane powered and has a cupped end that works great for heat shrink. A set of helping hands would be nice too though.
Should be good as long as I don't solder in the wrong holes this time (famous last words?). Thinking "oh I'll just hold the resistor and hit the solder with the iron and it'll pop right out" was not the correct thought process. Those little things sure do get hot quick!
Board sent. Just ignore the stray dog hairs that may or may not have decided to tag along. Now let's see if I can manage to not burn my finger making another one.
Yeah props for even taking this project on. It's only the Lightning that has the issue correct? That shrinks the pool of potential buyers even more with the comma being such a niche product already.
