The AC issues is very very recent, 3 reports in the last week, none before. We are still working on the root of the issue. I suspect either a slight change in design by Comma (they are bad about being slow to update their doucments so you know something changed) or a bad batch of hardware from comma. The USB Resistor coupler is the best solution for the errors, and hopefully the AC,, but they are not quite ready yet. You can make a DIY temp resistor until those are ready, especially since no one wants to go without AC for a few weeks.

2) Alerts on startup. This heard that this has been discussed in depth in this thread so I'll start going back through it. But if its an easy fix, would someone mind bringing me up to speed?
Quick and dirty way is to solder a 360 ohm resistor between pins A-10/A-11. Can be placed on harness or comma end.

If you can't solder, just let us know and we can help make you one. We can't really root cause it until someone can pull DTC's from an affected truck and see what may be keeping the AC down once the reflections (Startup Errors) are resolved.

So, does the resistor coupler prevent the issue? If not, does removing the harness box restore AC? I have yet to install my Comma but I can't go without AC in this weather.

Removing the long cable from the comma harness box resolves it, which is why I think it is related to the reflections. Seems like a fault fails to clear until the truck sits long enough for it to reset.

Edit for Clarification - seems like it is caused by reflections and we haven't been able to test a resistor breakout with the issue being new and sudden.

I want to put out there that I don't mind making the breakout board for those that are having issues that are making their life miserable (Lack of AC in the summer or other issues outside of normal startup issues).

The reason I cut off the boards;

1. I would rather you guys only have to install a proper solution one time.
2. The final versions are just about ready to go out (fingers crossed).
3. Between work and family, I was finding it more difficult to get the boards made quickly and mailed out when I said I was going to.
4. I ran out of the ASA that doesn't cause my wife to complain about the smell :lipssealed:.

I won't be upset if you guys offer to make boards for people that need it right now either. Similar to what @PJnc284 was kind enough to step in and do.

The breakouts were originally intended to fill the gap between the initial thought and the final design, unfortunately we have been running into more issues that are making them more of a necessity.

My truck had the AC be wonky on initial setup but no issues with resistor board.

What we are getting now is the AC is fulling shutting off until the modules sit inactive for enough time to reset.

Previous reports were a delay in AC startup.
