Mind messaging me the VIN? Curious to see if I can see what is causing the issue.
In terms of lane centering: Are you wearing your seatbelt? The new IPMA software requires the seatbelt to be on for lane centering/BC to work.
The OTA process can 100% update the IPMA. It updates the module faster than FDRS does and there is algorithm is has to pass to verify the 12v battery is in a healthy enough state for the OTA to install to avoid problems.
Please note there are two version of the BC 1.4 update: One that updates...
Very very few modules are not updateable via the OTA process. The OTA is process is unreliable and unpredictable. There is no way to predict when any vehicle will get an update nor is there is a way to speed up the OTA process or force an OTA to be sent. All you can do it pray that the OTA gods...
I am not exactly sure how TRON will affect it, but TRON not being authorized will not prevent FORScan from working AFAIK. We'll have to wait for Jesse to chime in on the technical part. From brief convos I have had with him about similar subject matter, firmware that requires TRON cannot be used...
Yes, the 2025 uses TRON and no FORScan cannot run TRON authorization. That can only be done with FDRS. However, I don't think FDRS would do it since the hardware in your truck is not supposed to be there. I don't know if FDRS would recognize the things you added as if they were native to your truck.
Unless there is some hardware missing from the lower trims that is needed for this to work? I'm not sure, tbh. I looked through the ACM and DSP settings to see if I found anything in there that was related, but nothing.
Now that you mention it, I think I do remember you posting about it. ICE trucks too, or just these? Because I have been telling the ICE guys that it is not available for them yet.
Not sure what makes you think that, but if you send me the VIN and I can confirm what software you have in the IPMA. If you have FORScan, you can check yourself.
Your truck is a 2024 and it would have shipped with BC 1.2 which has lane change and all of that already, no? Unless something changed recently, I don't think the 1.4 update is out for the 2024+ yet.
No idea. It will just do whatever the FORScan engineers scripted it to do when you click that button. Not sure if it records a changelog of what it does. I've never used it.
I've just seen too many instances on the forums of people using easy mode and having issues. I love me some FORScan and am a huge advocate for it, but if I can't see with my own eyes what it is changing and where, I'll take the extra few minutes it takes to just do it myself.
Well, that sucks. That means the OTA failed for some reason. Nothing you did wrong or could have done differently. I can check the error code as to why it failed with the VIN, but it won't do anything to help the cause. All you can do is hope they resend it sooner than later and hope for better...
