@Kansan The OTA for the GWM was canceled on the server side, so it will not come in OTA. The OTA was sent to your truck on 2/27, the truck pinged the server back, but the files were never downloaded and the OTA was canceled due to "high priority job" (whatever that means).
The GWM may be hung...
When you inserted the USB, did you see "USB indexing" on the top left and then a message on your touchscreen saying "Do not remove USB blah blah blah"?
Many people on the F150 forum are reporting getting the OTA and it fails. When I check the VIN, the reason on three trucks today alone were "canceled by the cloud" which means the OTA trigger was canceled on the server side. No reason as to why the OTA was canceled is given.
99% of people who think they have problems getting updates don't including him. The problem is the slow and unpredictable OTA process. Dealer won't do it because Ford won't pay them to do it and nobody likes to work for free. I have no issues with that and take the dealer's side 100% of the time...
F*cking liars. This is the type of stuff that makes dealers look bad and gives people like me who are dealer employees a bad rep. All they updated was the GWM, and the OTA for BC 1.3 was sent, but it failed to install as it was canceled by the cloud. If they hadn't charged you any money, I would...
Updates with FDRS will not show in your touchscreen. If the dealer did do the updates, it would still not give you the new BC features. You would have to enable them yourself with FORScan. Send me the VIN and I can check what they did.
Only the config on the IPMA needs to be changed for it to work, but the modules relevant to ADAS must be updated to a certain point. Send me the VIN and I'll look at it tomorrow.
Correct. Only owners who have an issue will appreciate this. If you got the BC 1.4 update and lane change, in-lane repo and predictive speed are all working, then this will do nothing for you. If you did get the OTA and one or more of these are not working, then this will fix whatever is not...
But yes, the config only version of the OTA requires wifi according to PTS. I'd be interested to hear if someone does get it without being connected to wifi.
The CSP version with FDRS of the IPMA update was always missing the config. The OTA version was supposed to write it, but failed to do for many, or failed to write all the config, or failed to write any of the config at all.
In regards to this OTA:
Some people that already got this update will get it a second time. I thought this was an issue only affecting the Mach E's, but apparently not. The second version will not update the software, but instead correct the config that is preventing one or more of the BC 1.4...
If what you're missing is the option for AM radio on the touchscreen, it can be added with FORScan by enabling it here.
If you have an 8, change it to a 0. If you have a 9, change it a 1 and so on.
