  1. Anyone do a BuyBack in 2024? - Tax Credit Question

@Vcrpromo ...The dealer should provide you with IRS Form 15400. Attached is a sample copy.
  2. DCFC station cost

I agree that DCFC charging does not save much cost over ICE vehicle. That is why I only recommend an EV to folks that can mostly charge at home or at work. Your point is still clear, however the math seems a bit off. 296kw @ .54 per kw = $159. (not $135) 31 gallons @ $3.10 gal = $96 (close...
  3. Charging Profile at Tesla Supercharger with NACS adapter

If you are using only one parking spot and only one Supercharger then all should be good. The rest is just a design problem for Tesla/Ford/Rivian to figure out.
  4. Dealer screwed up tax credit paperwork (Post 62)

The dealer is required to submit a Time of Sale report to the IRS and provide a copy to the buyer. Does not matter if you are doing a Point of Sale credit or if you are waiting to claim on your tax return later. Clearly ? stated on IRS site. https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax2023.shtml
  5. Dealer screwed up tax credit paperwork (Post 62)

Lesson learned for others. If your dealer does not do ”Point of Sale” tax credit for you, then just walk away. We should be rewarding dealers that are participating with the program. Not worth the hassle or the long wait to see if dealership files paperwork correctly for you to get the tax...
  6. Planetary emergency or squirrel fart, pro power running the house

Great use of the Pro Power. I also have a 30 amp generator inlet on the back of our house that gets hooked up to a portable Natural gas generator when needed. There is a lock-out in electrical panel for lineman safety. Unfortunately it is too difficult to get the truck close to that inlet to...
  7. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

You may be confused about the delay. Anyone who ordered adapter after 3/1/2024 was originally given an August ship date. I don't see any hint of delay in what you have posted.
  8. Dealer who sold me my truck is not allowed to work on it.

You can search for EV Certified dealers on the Ford web site by doing an Advanced Search and checking the "EV Certified" filter https://www.ford.com/dealerships/
  9. Dealer who sold me my truck is not allowed to work on it.

May as well name the dealer so others don’t go there and waste both of their times.
  10. What is going on inside my truck?

I have seen the same "flashing" thing with my truck at night with security cams.. Seems to only happen when the truck is awake or actively charging. Once charging stops and truck goes back to sleep the flashing stops. Also, it does not flash if truck is just plugged in and waiting for the...
  11. #2 copper wire for Charge Station Pro

Maybe the "Minimum 8 FT" refers to how far the safety switch (if needed) should be from the Charge Station Pro.
  12. 208 3P/ NEMA 14-50 wiring/ 460 volt cornucopia

⬆⬆⬆ Agree with above. 6 awg with a 50 amp breaker. That way you can get full use out of that 14-50 outlet. Believe the ground wire can be 10 awg.
  13. Hidden details

Nice flag design. Unfortunately I have not found one on my Lariat.
  14. Can’t set charging location at home -[fix post 42]

You can also check how many satellites the Navigation is picking up. Start with the Tools icon in lower left of the screen. May have to be parked outside to get good reading.
  15. Can’t set charging location at home -[fix post 42]

Hmm. Seems like the Navigation has to be working so it can get the GPS to offer a charge location. Sometimes the default name of a location is just the GPS coordinates (can easily edit the name later). Been a while since I did this. Hopefully others will chime in.
  16. Can’t set charging location at home -[fix post 42]

@fordtruckperson Congrats on new '24 Flash. To set up a charging location you have to first be plugged in to a charger at that location. Then you can save it and rename it later if you like.
  17. A Tale of Two...Hubbells!

The Hubbell 9450a is very good. There is also the Bryant 1450FR receptacle that is made by Hubbell and are practically identical. Often the Bryant can be found for a bit less money. Both of these receptacles require a faceplate that has the bigger 2.48 inch hole. A basic 14-50 receptacle...
  18. 208 3P/ NEMA 14-50 wiring/ 460 volt cornucopia

The breaker can not exceed the rating of the wire and the outlet. If wire and outlet have different ratings, then breaker should match the lowest rated. The outlet’s rating should never be higher than the wire rating or the breaker size.
  19. Purpose of the bottom cover of the CCS1 receiver

Be aware that if you remove the DC pin cover your range will be reduced. :):) (...... just like all the modifications to our trucks.)
  20. Thank You Everyone!

The tool box is also known under brand name Swing Case. You can find plenty of install videos if you search using "F-150 Swing Case" .
