I did get an update today. There are 2 or 3 toggles labeled "Hybrid Electric something something" that add a gauge to the bottom of the Comma that show energy use and regen. I turned those on. I can't remember if the toggles were there before the update or not.
After messing around and tweaking with the settings today, efficiency was the same.
Whether you have 1pd on or off, regen braking always happens until the braking that is requested is greater than what can be provided by the regen and then the friction brakes are activated. From my observation...
Here's pics of what I have in a 2024 Pro. I imagine that if you have a blank cover that you could probably purchase this and add it. I have no idea what cost or part number would be :
Are you talking about the little storage cubby that is on the opposite side of the bed from the ProPower? That's what's in my Pro trim.
I am going to use it to hold a rechargeable 12 volt battery bank to make a self contained bed light system.
For anyone in the future that installs a Comma, here's what I've done with the help and guidance of everyone else on this thread. Hopefully if you have read this far, this will help you get set up quicker and save some time:
- I downloaded BluePilot 3.0 using @Ajzride 's link...
Right after I got my truck, I took it on a long road trip to North Dakota to go pheasant hunting. Once in ND, I drove it through all sorts of cut field stubble like canola, soybean, and some cut corn stalks. Most of the stubble rubbed the underneath like a scrub brush. I think the canola stubble...
This device is truly amazing! What a game changer. I can't thank everyone involved on this thread enough for helping walk me through this.
I took a long test drive with the PC Blend on 0.75 and then 0.80. Both seem to do a very slow side to side drift. Not nearly as bad as the default setting...
Never thought I'd see this in my Pro!
Tuning question for BluePilot 3.0:
I got a lot of lateral ping-pong. I have changed my "Driving Personality" to "relaxed". The neural network NNLC toggle says "unavailable for this platform"
What other settings should I be looking for or adjusting to calm...
I use Android, but when I have had similar problems it was an old or poor quality cord or cords.
With Android Auto, the power usage is about the same rate as the charge delivery. The charge is always slow when AA is connected either through the cable or wireless for me. I assume CarPlay would...
My comma3x is stuck on the large comma boot up screen. I uninstalled blue pilot 2.1, then installed 3.0. After 3.0 finished, it said it needed to update. I clicked the proceed and that seemed to successfully go through its process too. On the reboot, it just sticks on the comma screen. The 3x...
I can confirm everything @astrand1 wrote is accurate....
I did take off the snap-on panel on the side of the dash where the side window vent is. Start pulling that off from the bottom and patiently move up to release all of the clips without breaking everything.
You still need 5 small hands...
The comma gave me the "resume control warnings" through the comma screen and then shut everything down. I assume it was being controlled through the comma, or at least I want to hope it was being controlled through the comma ?‍♂️
Once my mount has finished its "48 hour curing" process. I will...
Success!!
I can confirm that the Comma works with a 2024 Pro trim that has the ACC/LKA added on.
I used an old cell phone holder as a temporary mount out the windshield just to make sure it worked with my 2024. It calibrated, but then when I got onto a 55 mph road, it was a little too shaky...
I have tried downloading bluepilot four times now. The downloading bar goes to 10%, then the screen goes to the comma logo, then it goes to the "let's get started" screen. I made sure to copy your URL with the capital letters.
Openpilot downloaded on the first try.
Any suggestions?
