I think the thing that the tape is hanging off is the wiring harness for the backup warning sound and low speed sound speaker. If that was my truck I would snip off the hanging piece of tape and carry on.

Why do you suggest not using this as a "long term solution"? It seems like it is functional, but maybe not the most visually appealing.

Exactly. My 2024 truck has toggles for WAL, but WAL never worked. It's a Pro and the consensus is that Pro's don't have WAL, even if they're 2024's but the toggles have always been there. Makes no sense.

I have been trying to figure that out I since I brought the truck home. The toggles for WAL were there, but no WAL. Everyone seems to think that the Pro trim doesn't have WAL, but the toggles were present in a brand new truck, no previous owner to ForScan them on. I have not had a BCM update yet...

My 2024 Pro has had the WAL toggles on the Sync settings menu since I brought the truck home, but it does not have WAL. I have been through all of the ForScan settings that I could find pertaining to WAL and they are all "on" so to speak. I don't know if my trim level will get this BCM update...

You can still DCFC while away from home at up to ~180kw. I am not understanding your concern.

Like @Heliian suggested. Open the funk, pop off the back panel where the 12 volt battery is and wiggle the + and - connections to see if they're loose and try to tighten them if you can. May solve your problems while you wait. You probably won't even get dirty.
