I have been through the 18 pages (and growing) of this thread a few times and I'm still trying to wrap my head around what is actually needed for this harness. I am going to order a Comma once I get this all figured out so I can use the 30-day trial period to make sure it works on my 2024 Pro to which I added ACC/LKA as outlined on the forum (a 42 page thread, so this one is still easier to work through). @Ajzride told me it's "likely" that Comma will work for me.

-Regardless of if I get the v1 or v2 harness from Comma, will I still need to add an extension or extend the stock harness, as well as add some resistors to certain wires?

-Is @Drayday55 or @Ajzride still making extensions as a side hustle? Do I need to see if I get a v1 or v2 harness first before seeking out an extension? I assume I have to receive my harness first and then send it to them to modify?

-If I just use an unmodified stock harness and everything that comes in the Comma box, can I just plug in the Comma or turn it on after I have started the truck to avoid errors? Is this a practical solution? Are the errors on the truck or on the Comma? I don't have a Comma yet to see for myself if this solution would work.

Thanks in advance for any answers or advice.
I have 2 harness ready to ship if anyone needs them. D.M. me

We are working on an update for BluePilot to be compatible with the newer comma devices shipping. We have no idea what comma changes, they have no documented updates. But something clearly doesn’t like the older software BluePilot is based on. The problem is that we are built on SunnyPilot, and he hasn’t updated yet either, so a lot of features are going to be missing from this release.
Would it be best to wait to purchase a comma and monitor this thread until the issues are resolved?

You can run stock OpenPilot until we get BluePilot updated.
but we should have it updated early next week anyways.

You can install BluePilot first. Just be sure to go into the menu and set your tuning profile to low, or turn off advanced lateral control.

Question for you. On the ipma are we supposed to connect the harness to the grey connector that’s on the ipma? That’s the one I unplugged and it fit into the y harness Q4 adapter. I’m letting the mount cure so have not hooked up the comma just yet but did drive the truck and BC and everything else did work fine. To add to this there is no instructions on what plug to use. I only guessed it was the grey one because on the supplied harness the plug was grey. I scanned the QR code for setup instructions but it was for another car brand so just went in blind.

No, black one. Grey can mess things up.

Second from the bottom. I unplugged both the bottom plugs to make it easier.

Ok. I’ll change it tomorrow before I do anything. They almost should put a note in there or maybe not use a grey connector. Interesting that they fit the same. 🤔

I'm submitting a PR to add that video to their how-to wiki. But they might reject it since they hate me.

The video would be nice but I think they could easily add a tab taped to the harness stating which one to use like I said the fact that the connector on the harness is grey and there is a grey plug on the ipma could confuse someone like the idiot that’s typing this. 😆 I’m not looking forward to getting my meat nuggets back up in that small space to reconfigure the plugs. Already scraped the shit out of my right hand. 🤣🤣

I used to wonder why everyone complained so much, I didn't find mine that hard to install. Then I worked on 2022 F150 and something changed in the dash, it's a way tighter fit than my 2021, and I compeltely understand the complains now.

Just tried installing this and the unit just resets. I did make I’m not fat fingering anything. Typed it just as you have it here. Thoughts?

Where would that be? I’ve just looked thru all the settings and there is nothing vehicle related that I can see?
