Its all good. I've dealt with my share of crappy dealers so its nothing new. I will say they were very nice about it but it just took forever. Happy its over and I can now enjoy my new lightning. By the way, great recommendation on flooring it on the way home. Holy cow I thought I was going to pop a wheelie. This thing will probably put my corvette to shame off the line.
It quickly makes the dealer BS you have to go through fade away...

Well I picked up my Pro a few hours ago. What an incredible truck. The dealer was another story. Another user on this forum bought a pro from them about a week ago and got everything worked out with them. However when I went in they seemed completely clueless. It took hours to wait for them to make phone call after phone call before I got the ok. All worked out in the end and I got everything I wanted. It was dark when I left so I'll take some photos in the morning.
Any idea as to which call/contact made the difference? My delivery is still pending. Thanks.

I was able to get the 7k private offer but not the 5k price protection. They did promise to pass along the 5k if they get it from Ford. Is this a possibility? I don’t see why Ford would reimburse them if they already charged the amount already including the 5k…

That's my dealers proposal as well, an IOU. Others have reported the same, for the lightning as well as Bronco and MachE. It seems to be a matter of which dealers are willing to get a corrected invoice from Ford and others who just want to wait for the check back before they settle accounts with the customer. That's why I asked if anyone knows which regional point of contact at Ford made the difference. Of course your dealer could just refuse to make the call, and just issue the IOU. Ford reimbursing the dealer later is the whole basis for the difficulties were having.

I don’t unfortunately. It took so long I lost track of what they were doing and who they were speaking too.

7% retail orders vs 55% retail orders. Multiple price increases per year and long order to delivery times.
