It's simple. De-kneecap (?word) HVDC output switching from the F150L so that it doesn't require proprietary signaling from the current Sunrun/Delta/HIS product. From the numerous postings regarding this product, it is expensive, limited in its capability, and frequently just plain doesn't work. Allow true vehicle-to-house and vehicle-to-grid integration via other products that are much better than the current solution. Allow the truck to be used similar to how a Tesla Powerwall can be. I think Ford could sell more trucks if they could be used in more flexbile ways to power homes.

Unfortunately, final V2H open standards won't be finalized until next year at the earliest. However, Ford could at least publish their control interface protocols and support third-party V2H control. Tesla Powerwall is no better in terms of using proprietary protocols that also don't support third-party control of power management functions. The new V2H function on the Tesla CyberTruck also uses proprietary control protocols. So, Tesla is going in the wrong direction and not what Ford should follow.

I would settle for a setting in the backup power tab that said "Switch on HVDC when power to the FCSP loses power" and let downstream equipment deal with any grid protocols. As far as I know there is currently no way to do this.
