Well, my county’s LT growth went from 2 to 3
. A buddy called me after he took a Lariat test drive. What did I think? Well, I said, “after 16,600 miles in 8 months we’re pretty sold”. Best all rounder ever and a heck of a fuel savings. He loved the quiet ride, pro power, pro trailer, and.. power!, plus ER range. He and I hauled his mini-excavator and the LT towed that, took the tight turns, back and filled like a truck should. I think that really sold him and 72 hours later he picks up a new ‘23 XLT up Seattle way. Even got the onboard scale! The second couple wants a test ride and sit down discussion.
Finally got a scheduled visit to get the battery monitor replaced. No updates since new but nothing the truck couldn’t handle. I told both parties that Astoria Ford has a dedicated BEV staffer and he’s on top of the recalls & updates. Kudos to them.
The price is a hurdle for many. Our ER Lariat is basically a luxury SUV-GT disguised as an F-150 so it’s a sleeper and I’m ok with that. Flash is a good idea. The Lighting plays in a different sandbox than the competition and I’m ok with that too. I’ve had a lot of trucks and SUVs in 50+ years and the LT is the pick of the litter. And a good dealer makes the difference.
