Last time we talked about road trips and found that everyone pays great attention to car maintenance, and pre-trip checks are an essential part of the process (checking tire pressure, rims, car battery, changing oil, etc.). In everyday life, what vehicle conditions do you guys care about most, for safety reasons or personal hygiene needs?

Let's share how much vehicle maintenance do you actually do.

Please select the maintenance tasks you have already completed or are sure you can complete this month. (This is a multiple-choice poll)

After voting, please leave a comment below:
How many items did you complete in total? What do you think is the most important? Share your experiences and little skills in thos thread.

Winner Pick Up:
We will pick up one winner on 29th Jan. The user with the most likes in the comments section is winner!

Prize: A set of 3W car mat

Before my truck ended up at the dealership for a new HVB this month I was road tripping a lot. So I completed at least 5 of these items regularly: tire pressure, washer fluid, wiper blades, cleaning floor mats and trunk. Most important for me being the tire pressure. I always travel with a small air compressor in the trunk just in case I need to top up. Wiper blades come in second position. Living in the south prone to heavy rain storms it is important to have a clear windshield. I use 24" blades for maximum coverage (known hack).

Pretty much all of them except the windshield wiper fluid. Since getting my used 22’ Lightning XLT in December, I’ve been taking immaculate care of it. Put on two layers of the Griots ceramic detailing spray, which make water roll right off and dirt stay wipeable on the surface. Then have been washing her every 2-3wks with a wash and wax high sud shampoo, reapplying a quick exterior ceramic detailer wipe. 4-6 week regimen is an interior deep clean, surface iron remover and decontamination. 3 month regimen is the 2-layer Griots ceramic detailing spray.

I still use her as a truck and she has hauled a ton for me since I got her. I also use her as my daily commuter and I like to make sure I take care of my vehicles living on the east coast with the saltier air and the higher humidity.

I cleaned out the accumulated junk in the backseat (I have a box for that), but otherwise.... haven't had to do anything since getting it back just after Thanksgiving from having a module replaced

I’ve done all the items at one point or another in the three + years I’ve owned my Lightning… but checking and maintaining the tires are def the most important IMO.

Tire pressure and washer fluid are done monthly. My vehicles don't have clutter, and my mats don't need checking.

I think the tire pressure is the most important thing on this list. I’ve done most of these things this month except the door sills bit.

Like Pedro said, “if you vote for me and all of your wildest dreams will come true.” 😁
