I've had my Lightning for a year now and have the Ford installed bed mat. I have taken several trips and loaded the bed often. I am very satisfied with it. It stays in place, is easy to clean, is no-slip, and has just enough padding so that I can work in there on my knees comfortably.I am considering an on-the-lot F150 lightning that came with the bed mat option. It also (regrettably) has the Ford OEM spray-in (was hoping for LineX).
I have no familiarity with the OEM bed mat, so very curious on everyone's opinions!
Yep same here. I bought it with points. If I had to actually pay for it I probably would have gone for a cheaper aftermarket unit. Like you said its just a big hunk of rubber. What more can you expect.I had the factory installed spray in bed liner, then bought the mat with my points. The spray in liner was too harsh and textured, so the bed mat was exactly what I wanted. And things don't slide around while driving with it like furniture or boxes which is exactly why I like it. Too each their own, but it's a just giant piece of rubber which serves it's purpose for me.
Ya, that's exactly how the bed mats are made. It's rubber with a filler string. My old gm one was the same and it works great but it shouldn't be showing through the top on a brand new liner. Solid rubber is much heavier.it won't come off, it's in the rubber.
My Dualliner that is 10 years old looks better.Ya, that's exactly how the bed mats are made. It's rubber with a filler string. My old gm one was the same and it works great but it shouldn't be showing through the top on a brand new liner. Solid rubber is much heavier.
I had LineX on my previous truck, but opted for the factory spray-in for my Lightning. It’s only been 6 months, but the Ford liner is holding up (and looking) as good as, or better than the LineX.It also (regrettably) has the Ford OEM spray-in (was hoping for LineX).
Hijacking the thread a bit here, but I got a bunch of feedback from my dealer that the Ford spray I. Lining would delay my order so I ordered without it. I figured I would have an aftermarket one added on delivery. Is LineX a good option?I had LineX on my previous truck, but opted for the factory spray-in for my Lightning. The factory bedliner was causing some delays late last year. As far as I know, that’s no longer the case. Perhaps someone with more current information will comment.Hijacking the thread a bit here, but I got a bunch of feedback from my dealer that the Ford spray I. This is helpful, thank you.The factory bedliner was causing some delays late last year. As far as I know, that’s no longer the case. Perhaps someone with more current information will comment.
I was happy with Line-X on my previous truck.
