Ball Joints and Shifter safety notices

For my 24' Flash(4,000 miles) got my ball joint recall notice in June and was just waiting for the right time to schedule. Lucky me I also got the Shifter recall 25B09 campaign notice this week. So I am going to go the local Ford dealership tomorrow and start the process. The dealership is only a few minutes away from my work and home, so even if they keep the vehicle, I can use my golf cart to get around.

I have both of these showing up for mine as well.

Ford’s recalls are really starting to annoy me. I have my ICE up for sale. I’ve had two prospective buyers and one dealer scared off by the fuel pump recall Ford recently announced for F-150’s, Expeditions, Broncos, some Lincoln models, etc. There is no fix yet, but it’s a stain on my vin even though I haven’t had any issues. There are three other recalls, I had the vehicle serviced at Ford in October and they didn’t bother trying to resolve any of the recalls.

CSPs and TSBs are not recalls.

Yes, a well-informed buyer of your used vehicle may find the recall, but it is a free repair for them.

Ford is more annoyed with recalls then you or I will ever be, being ranked #1 in recalls, by far, is a stain on their stock... And on Farley's record.

What's the build date on your flash? Must be relatively new to miss the ball joint recall.

FordPass shows them as incomplete recalls. With the new fuel pump recall there isn’t a fix to be had yet. It doesn’t matter if it’s free but the truck is potentially dead in the dealership lot for months. Two perspective private buyers asked for the vin then mentioned the recalls and lost interest, one dealership retracted their offer based on the fuel pump recall issue. I listed my truck for sale a couple days before the fuel pump recall was released. This is starting to feel like trading in my 2009 Jetta TDI a couple weeks after dieselgate dropped, our resale value fell by 30% overnight.

Both notices were mailed to me at my home.

What's the build date on your flash? Must be relatively new to miss the ball joint recall.

12/23, I purchased mine used with less than 5k miles so it's possible the dealer addressed the ball joint issue...

We received the recall notice for the ball joint and had that repaired. No notice for the shifter, as of yet. We also have a '24 Lightning Flash and our dealer is within two miles.
