Alex let his Lightning and R1T sit for 2 weeks and Lightning still shows 100% battery charge but lost about 5 miles, that is about 0.2kWh/day.

Rivian lost 27%, 2.8kWh/day, that is 2500 miles worth of electricity per year.

Wow, that is a huge drain from the Rivian. Even if it didn't go to sleep, that is a lot of power to burn through.

Is this a math question because I don't know what train is going west. :)

Maybe temperature or connected services or background software.

Tesla was beat up at one time for the huge amount of power the car took when parked. They eventually got it a bit better. They claimed it would take too long to boot up the car so they kept many computers running. Rivian may need to update their adventure.

I don’t speak Rivian. Do those have surveillance / sentry modes? My Ford super duty’s with 2 batteries running Rexing front and back cameras will suck em dry in 5 days to nada but jumper cable time.

Tesla eats about 1/3kWh per day, not too bad. But I would expect it much lower than that.

You could power two+ refrigerators on the phantom energy drain consumed by the Rivian? I guess the Rivian won't get an "Energy Star" sticker.
