I've yet to actually install the bed rug that recently arrived, but it seems like a good product that can doubles for both "clean" cargo like furniture and luggage, and dirty stuff lie car parts, building supplies, and things for the yard. I didn't see an option to buy a frunk liner though so I reached out to Bed Rug. They were vert responsive via chat, but told me they weren't planning on doing a liner for the frunk. I enthusiastically told them they should do one and they said they'd pass the idea along to their GM.

What do you think? I think even if you're not planning to buy a bed rug for your bed, putting one in the frunk seems like a good idea.

It was pretty easy and cheap to buy a 6x9 polyolefin outdoor rug at the local dollar store and cut it to fit the frunk and bed. Even I didn‘t get heartburn spending $15 for throw away carpeting.
yes, I’m very cheap.

The purpose of the bedrug, and other bed liners, is to protect the metal floor and sides from being damaged, as well as stopping stuff from sliding around.

In the frunk, there isn't a metal floor, nor metal sides. And there are numerous ways to stop things from sliding around.

Plus, there's all sorts of openings.

Unnecessary IMO.

I saw that Ford offered the liner and thought bed rug might as well. ford's mat fits most of my use cases since the bed will have most of the "dirty" stuff, but a dual purpose mat was appealing and would perhaps cost less than the OEM option.

Does the frunk rug from Ford stick down or does it just lay in there. Seems like it moving around would not be good.
