My apologies in advanced but I'm becoming very frustrated with Ford and how this is unfolding.

I was really excited to be one of the first to be getting the truck, this is my first Ford and the truck really hit the sweet spot for what I was looking for.

The truck came in the week of 6/27, dealer sent me a pic and said they just need to clean it up and I can pick up the truck that week. Then I get a text a few days later that the giant screen was black. I wanted to get the paperwork rolling and get the charger sent out, so we finalized all the paperwork and completed the purchase. Fair enough I thought maybe something happened during shipping where a wire harness got lose. Tech is out the rest of the week so they can check it out after July 4th. I get a text again Thursday, July 7th saying they need Ford's approval for warranty work. Friday the 8th I get another text that they need some parts, probably the ADIM. Another week passes and I have to ask the dealer, they talked to a Ford tech and are trying to order parts.

I saw the post about soft resetting Sync 4, the sales guy said he tried that and no luck.

Now another week has passed 7/18 and I called again, they say the part is on backorder. Dealer is saying Ford doesn't release parts until there is enough people asking for them or something crazy like that. They are now making a call to their Ford contact, maybe something can get moving on this.

I cannot believe there isn't a way for a brand new truck, I've never drove, where they can call someone at Ford to make this right. Have the part overnight shipped out so I can actually take delivery. I'm really getting concerned about the quality that's coming out and the lack of urgency to get this resolved.

I think I would have waited until the truck was really ready before Ford Motor no longer listed as the owner.
Ship has sailed, I get it;. All new components have immediate failure percentages so I wouldn't think the overall truck is bad, @FORDMOTOCOMPANY should assign a priority to your issue way above the dealer. I would ask for this if it were me.

My first request would be to suspend the in-service date on a vehicle you never had delivered.

I did "trade" in my current vehicle to get price protection. They are letting me drive old car so far until this gets worked out. So I'm not sure how that plays into the in-service date.

My dealer's XLT mannequin had the same problem. It was working fine for about 3 weeks and then all of sudden it just stopped turning on. It has been down now for 2 weeks and it is waiting on parts also.

I wonder if it has to do with the heat. My son and I were in the car today with the AC blasting since it was 100 in NJ today, and every time he touched the screen he complained that the screen was hot. I touched it, and it was pretty toasty. So I turned down the brightness and we will see how it goes.

You should tell them they need to fix the car or you can consider lemoning it. In NYS after 30 days, you can demand a replacement vehicle...not really sure how that works with limited availability stuff, but it might at least get them to try a little harder before they get stuck with a used car that has a tainted title with it.
