I know I said I wouldn’t but I did anyway. With all the traveling I do in the Lightning, the travel trailer just made sense. Still not totally sure this is a good idea but I’m excited about the freedom I think the travel trailer is going to give me.

Nice unit. Just adjust your mileage expectations and plan accordingly and enjoy!

Let us know how your mileage changes! Looks like a nice size through, should be easy to handle on the road.

You will only be disappointed if you expect to much. Just figure 1 mile per kwh.

We love camping with our lightning, mileage kinda sucks but it's great it have air-conditioning when we don't have a serviced site

I put the rv on the road today. I got 1.2 miles per kWh on my outbound leg and 1.0 miles per kWh on the inbound leg. The temperature stayed above 100 degrees F and my top speed was 60 mph.

It looks on long trips I’m going to have to charge about every 100 miles. That’s doable on interstates where there are fast chargers every 50 miles but more challenging on non-interstate highways. I will have to go back to planning my trips very carefully.

If you use ABRP for a route planner ot will calculate out all your charging stops

I have found that looking at wind direction projections for my trailer trips helps a lot. “Windy” is a good app showing directional and velocity data. I’ve made trips with a tail wind in both directions. VERY helpful. Wind is THE trailering handicap. Aerodynamics too, but you’ve chosen your trailer. Not a bad design. Not great either.
The Lightship is the trailer with proper aero - but for now, unobtainable due to pricing.
I’ve built nosecones to help, but the massive flat rear wall is a huge vacuum going down the road. Big trucks sometimes have foils on the back of the trailer. Too lazy to deploy them, but you can still see the design for a DIY.
