I find it hard to believe the ACV is approx $30K when I see other similarly equipped 2022 trucks going for between $40K and $50K.
Same here, but that is what the estimated said was the value. I guess this will be a discussion with the insurance company. Good news is if there is more value, then anything else they find should not put it over.

I would shoot to get it totaled. I have had a repaired truck and they're never the same. Issues just keeps coming up.
In Washington State you can appeal an insurance company final offer in writing with 3 examples from sales lots within 50 miles of your house. The insurance companies uses for sale by owner prices when trying to support their initial offer, but when you appeal, they have to use prices found on registered sales lots within 50 miles of your house. I had an old car that they only wanted to give me $6500 for. I appealed and they ended up giving me $10500.

I am concerned about this level of repair. However, If they are going to only payout $30k (or $40k) that would effectively be a very large $2,000 a month lease over the last two years...

So then if I push them to match prices on dealer lots it will not be totaled, but repaired with a large accident on record, so not great for resale if I hate the repair. Regardless, I may still be able to sell it for more than the low ball offer from the insurance.

Or maybe it will become our secondary/farm vehicle, yet still able to power the house in an outage (which I have used 4 times now).

Looks like the primary or replacement vehicle is going to be an EV9. It can fit 2 dogs in crates and 5 passengers in the cabin, but no real frunk...

State Farm totaled my car 2019 Nissan Leaf and they paid us enough to buy a new 2020 for about $7,000 more. After factoring the tax credit of $7,500 we came out $500 ahead with a brand new car one year newer. About a year later they were able to recover money from the other party and they sent me my $1,000 deductible back.

They paid retail value, plus taxes and registration fees. Once I agreed To the offer on the phone they emailed me a document to e-sign and the money was in my bank account the next day. There wasn’t a lien on the car so it made it simple.
