Center console in Flash suddenly hard to open

The center console button - the big hand-sized button - is very difficult/sluggish to push in. When i do force it in, there is a click on the locking tab/ear on the drivers side. Silcone spray did not help.

Any thoughts?

No soda/coffee/juice has been spilled on it.

Well, it is all made out of plastic, and can be slammed shut, Might have broken a lever or such inside the mechanism.

Especially if you closed with anything sticking out, the wire management is dumb...
