Okay so first, don’t judge on why it took me so long to notice this, but there was a massive 800kWh spike in my charge logs back in May 2023.
Ford F-150 Lightning Charger Usage “Spike” FC498F13-B46A-4607-A45C-0042E5096283

just a silly error in the app right? Well I went to go look at my electric provider and see if it correlated there and…
Ford F-150 Lightning Charger Usage “Spike” 099C0952-5F2C-4974-BBDB-13BBCA6FC539

between April and May it jumps almost exactly 800kWh!

This tells me the usage was real and for that amount of power to flow through the charger within a day scares me (think fire hazard).

has anyone else seen anything like this??

Bug in the (cr)app. It’s physically impossible for your EVSE circuit to supply that much energy to the truck in one day.

Yes, I’ve see the same. Supposedly, I added over 1 megawatt-hours to my Mach-E on day. 😂

Maybe a logic error in how the Ford software is totaling the usage. I'm thinking that 800 kWh was actually spread over several days? - I see a big gap between the 11th to the 31st.

Based on Ford's other software "quirks", I'm doubting their math skilz.

this is kind of what I assume, and spread over a few days does relieve some concern over fire.

However I did see a near perfect correlation in my utility bill, which is completely independent measurement. So the electricity did get “used “ somehow. I looked at my calendar and I didn’t take any trips or anything that month, just my usual commute.

I should also add, typical usage for months of similar temps is 250-350 for the entire month

you are probably right, and I assume there was some kind of error, however it does not explain the near perfect correlation to my utility data.
For reference, my typical usage for similar temp months is 250-350 kWh.

interesting no data logged from the 11th to the 30th, could this be a data error of accumulation for that period?

I assume this may be a related issue, however I did not take any long trips, I would expect my usage to be 250-350 for the entire month. So even spread across the whole month it is still a big unexplained delta.

I looked at my logs for May, nothing unusual to the extreme you have, click view charge events for a table of the specific values, on 5/31 wonder if it is multiple records or one event

Can't you log onto your service provider and get usage data to check?

I did, it’s in the first post. Unfortunately my provider only show’s monthly usage. But even with out the daily, it does show the 800kWh anomaly

I looked, it shows as a single event at 6:30am.

the FCSP had to have sent garbage data to the server.
while I agree that the 800kWh was not a single event, it still seems like the power was used somehow as confirmed by my utility company. This is a 4x delta to what I would expect.

is truck mileage logged anywhere we can access? Just to “prove” I didn’t take a bunch of day trips :) ?

I’m not sure I’d trust your utility data, either. Why is July zero?
