no one is saying you shouldnāt be able to charge to 100%. It should just be much more expensive in order to prevent people who donāt need to charge to 100% from restricting access to other drivers. We need this precisely because there *isnāt* robust charging infrastructure.Because until we have a robust charging infrastructure sometimes we need to charge to 100%.

i donāt understand why you think you have the right to spend as much time on the charger as you want. The charging companies have full control of how their chargers are used. If they see more people having a bad experience because a large portion of people are spending an extra hour at the charge station to get from 90 to 100 then it is their right, and the smart thing to do, to incentivize people to leave chargers sooner. You have absolutely zero right to pay the same amount for the first 10% of your battery as the last 10% of your battery. Thatās entirely at the discretion of the charging provider.

EV charging isn't a right. This discussion is entirely about how charging providers efficiently service customers. Right now there's a major problem with people hogging chargers when they don't need to. Just because you "need" to charge to 100% doesn't mean everyone needs to. If you end up suffering because of the situation it's because of the bad behavior of other drivers who don't care, or appreciate, the importance of using public charging infrastructure efficiently. It has nothing to do with anyone being impatient.
