Just wanted to share an update on my Comma Four install. I was not happy with the standard mounting options because they rely on 3M adhesive tape. I have ceramic tint on the windshield and the idea of risking that tint, or dealing with adhesive creep in the summer heat, was a non-starter for me.
My goal was to achieve that "FitcamX" factory-integrated look. I wanted it tucked right up to the mirror housing with a minimal footprint and zero vibration.
I spent the last few days iterating on a mechanical, non-destructive mount that ties directly into the factory mirror base. It sits exactly where I wanted it, tucked into the mirror housing area and out of the primary line of sight.
I am currently refining the design to get it perfect. I have a few ideas to slim down the geometry even more where possible to keep the profile as tight as possible against the mirror, all while ensuring the mount stays rock solid and rattle free over rough roads.
I attached a few photos of the prototype on the truck and I am pretty happy with the fitment so far.
