Tbh, I have never used the ab data to try an obtain a p/n. To me, the info there looks like the file names and not the p/n. If someone really wanted to, I think the easiest way would be to just pony up the $28 to by a 3 day pass for PTS and you can easily obtain the p/n for any vehicle that way.Yeah, the file is formatted XML so can be a pain to read normally. I created a macro in Excel that will decode an ab file and let me see F188 values for all the VINs in my database. If I wasn't lazy I would try to make a program like As Built Explorer that would show that.
I mainly look and compare the F188 parameter as that seems to correspond to the "software version". Do you have a cheat sheet on what the other Fxxx numbers are? Are they just version numbers of other configuration files that get loaded (side-loaded) or does one of them represent the hardware part number?
